Update Nov 2021: This vid is for the rubber soled version. I've been wearing the leather sole since Nov 1, 2021. Grip is great on all surfaces including hardwood/laminate floors (this is one of the most common questions). When the leather sole is wet it becomes tacky and grips the surface even more. The leather sole is noticeably lighter. Leather is great for primarily indoor use (with occasional trips outside). Rubber is great for indoor/outdoor use! I feel like the rubber sole has more arch support (because the shape is molded into the rubber), so take that into consideration if you have PF issues. After three years of owning a pair of Glerups slippers, here's a long-term review. Glerups is a Footwear company out of Denmark that makes thoughtful, sustainable cold weather slippers. Foot-shaped fit, merino wool, gum rubber, and a simple design sensibility come together to warm and brighten your winter. Please note, when referencing rubber trees I said the "bark will grow back". I had a tree-type brain lapse. Bark is the case for Cork Trees. Gum Rubber is made from the sap of Rubber Trees. Gum rubber is still highly sustainable though!
