The Potters have won only one of their last eight league games against Oxford United, D4 & L3, a 4-0 home win was back in September 2000, which was in the third tier. Oxford United are currently in 18th position and have never lost a home game in the football league against Stoke City in eight previous meetings (W6 & D2). Oxford are also winless in their last six midweek league games (D2 & L4), since a 3-2 home win against Luton Town in January.
