THE AWKWARD MOMENT WHEN YOU GET ELIMINATED AT YOUR FIRST SJ COMP.

28.04.2012 @ weston lawns. Mine and Moo's first competition.. previously we've only done clear rounds and that, not actually competed against people so this was our first 'proper show'.. Okay please don't waste your time telling me i rode crap 'cos i already know that ;') the schooling we'd done in the week had been a bit of a fail and due to weather and the field conditions i couldn't do any jumping practise. But he actually warmed up really well, wasn't strong like he had been all week. And on the practise fences we had one refusal but other than that he was jumping really nice. And then well it just sort of died when we got in the arena.. i stopped 'riding' him forward. Don't ask why i'm trotting up to everything, i have no bloody clue myself LOL, should've cantered tbh but he stopped so dead in the warm up when he refused i guess i was too nervous about falling off hahaa! Watching it back, i know what went wrong, he said no and i didn't push him. The fences were pretty scary eyy, despite it only being 60cm they were filled in alot so looked bigger!;') Yes, i did forget where fence number 4 was.. (y) and they let me go in after to jump the fence we got eliminated at and he went over it fine after i told him off haha! Typical, just get the confidence after my round!;') I was pretty upset after but yanoo we've put it down to inexperience, fail on both behalfs. Few weeks off till the next show and concentrate on jumping so we can come back better :)... A setback is the setup for a comeback.♥ (might be hiring an arena next weekend to practise some courses and that, then dressage on the monday. Also, for those of you missing seeing Hamish.. i may be doing an ode on him middle of may :D)
