Padron Serie 1964 Anniversary Maduro 08/29/2018 | Back Yard | Water 4.9/5.0 Smell: Earth and sweet hay Cold Draw: Semi sweet milk chocolate First Impression: Although the pre-light draw was kind of tasteless, the first Impression is totally different. Mouth watery crystal sugar sweetness followed by fresh pepper spiciness. Balanced sweet and spicy finish. Retro-Hale very pungent. 1/3: Besides still very sweet fresh crystal sugar, a large amount of creamy dark chocolate also blends in. Also some coffee beans. Sweet finish now, the spicy drops. Retro-Hale chocolate and cinnamon. 2/3: The cigar is getting stronger. Black pepper comes back with a lot of pepper zing. Sweetness still there, dark chocolate taste, and espresso bitterness. Nutty and earthy. Sweet pepper zing finish. Retro-Hale cinnamon cedar. 3/3: Chocolate dominate the flavor, almost cocoa powder texture. Nice chocolate bitterness and sweetness. Little pepper in the background. Dark chocolate and espresso sweet bitterness finish. Retro-Hale earthy cinnamon. Overall: great construction, razor sharp burn, about 2" solid ash. Full body, full strength, pretty strong that I have to slow down. Good taste but a little too spicy. I rate this 4.9/5.0.
