The hinges are in fact bolted into the wood body braces. There is no room for error when drilling the holes for the door hinges. The cowl can be adjusted up or down to help align the front of the door. There is no adjustment for the rear. Because the rear of the door does not have any adjustment it is very crucial to get the holes drilled into the wood bracing correct. For this a jig is used that was built off of an original wood brace that Slick knows is correct. Also important is the metal brace that connects the wooden structure to the sub-rails. Everything has to be aligned and in the correct location. If not, very undesirable door gaps will be the result. In this video Slick fabricates body braces, as well as modifies the wood kit in order to get everything located properly.
