Thatharana Trek - Kharota is the last motorable road and its around 475 km from Delhi. Kharota is just 12 km from Dharamshala. It is the best alternate to Triund trek and more important, it is lesser known trek in Dharamshala, Himachal. Guide - I booked through HIKEALONG GROUP Mobile 79069- 20839 Anmol Overall experience was great. Specially i enjoyed the food the most. Guide was well versed with the trek route and behave very gently throughout the trek and even on campsite as well. Trek Level - Easy to moderate category. Average trekker can do it in around 3 h 30 Minutes and a beginner can do this trek in around 4 h 30 Minutes. No Electricity . Mobile network - Very weak, i am getting Airtel network signal at summit but not exactly at camp site, i moved little far around 100 meter from camp to get the signal.
