This video is the “New & Improved” sequel to my “How to do a bonded title” video. Based on all the questions that have been asked I’ve identified some points I need to make easier to understand as well as ad a resource or two. 1) You must be a Texas resident with a Texas address. 2) Your vehicle must be in your possession. Here is a link to the TXDMV website to obtain the form “Request for Motor Vehicle Information” which would be good to do before you even buy the car. The newest DMV form for bonded titles (slightly different from the video but you'll know what to do. https://www.txdmv.gov/sites/default/f... There is no link for the 68-A vin inspection. This is done by law enforcement and they do not provide blank form. You will need to find an agency that completes these inspections. If you google your area and “auto theft task force” you will most likely find one. For me just east of Dallas it’s the East Texas Auto Theft task force in Tyler. There is a task force in DFW but they are about 2 months out at the time I’m recording this. Call around you should be able to find one. Most charge $40 for the inspection. As for bonds you’ll want to call around. Usually the “Bond fee” most companies charge is as much or greater than the price of the bond. The guy I use is generally about half price. Unfortunately he’s asked me not to put his name out there as he doesn’t make much on the bonds and does them for me because I have all my insurances with him.
