Wei Tuo Fa Gong Temple, Singapore Overview The sacred Wei Tuo Fa Gong Temple is a Buddhist place of worship situated at the gorgeous island, Pulau Ubin in Singapore. Seated on a small hillock that offers a beautiful view of a nearby pond teeming with turtles and carps, this pristine temple houses shrines dedicated to different Hindu and Buddhist gods. The sight of innumerable coloured prayer flags adorning the area is breathtaking, beckoning a considerable number of visitors. The exquisite Wei Tuo Fa Gong Temple emits a serene aura which is perfect to meditate in peace. In comparison to the other temples in Singapore, Wei Tuo Fa Gong looks more like a humble abode. A sizeable golden statue of Buddha sitting on a lotus greets visitors at the entrance. This unique idol serves as a predecessor to several other statues of Buddha in various postures placed throughout this place of worship. The Wei Tuo Fa Gong Temple structure, resembling a house rather than a place of worship, has an extension constructed underneath a shelter which includes a living area and a dining place. It is surrounded by a lush garden which adds to the charm of this serene temple. Owing to the rural setting of this humble Buddhist sanctuary, a rocky road leads to this religious place. The maintenance of this radiant temple is done by the resident monks and the devotees.
