🎨 Learn Vietnamese Through Story: “The Paint Shop” (Tiệm Nước Sơn) Welcome to Learn Vietnamese with June – The Saigonese! Let’s learn Vietnamese naturally through simple, fun, and everyday stories! 📖 Today’s Story: This story is about Nam and his house. Nam feels that the white color of his house is a bit boring, so he goes to the paint shop to look for a new color. At the shop, Nam sees many beautiful paint colors like red, blue, yellow, and green. Some colors look too bright, some look a bit sad, and some are dazzling. Finally, Nam finds a green color that is beautiful and easy on the eyes. Nam is very happy because it is his favorite color, and he chooses it for his house. Let’s join Nam on his color adventure and learn Vietnamese through this simple and colorful story! 🌈 📝 Grammar & Vocabulary Notes 1. Passive Voice – “được + verb” Example: Ngôi nhà này được sơn màu trắng. (This house is painted white.) → In Vietnamese, được + verb is used to form the passive voice. → It means something is done to the subject. 2. Superlative – “nhất” Example: Màu Nam thích nhất. (The color Nam likes the most / Nam’s favorite color) → nhất means “the most” in English. → It is used to show the highest degree. 3. Feel vs. See – “cảm thấy” and “thấy” a. cảm thấy / thấy = feel → Used for feelings, opinions, or personal judgments. Example: Nam cảm thấy màu trắng hơi chán. (Nam feels that the white color is a bit boring.) b. nhìn thấy / thấy = see → Used for seeing something with your eyes. Example: Nam thấy một thùng nước sơn. (Nam sees a bucket of paint.) 4. Sequence Words – Telling order trước tiên / đầu tiên = first sau đó / kế đó / rồi = then 💬 Level: Beginner / A1–A2 🎧 Practice listening and pronunciation with the Southern Vietnamese (Saigonese) accent. 📖 Reading and listening practice with Vietnamese–English subtitles. 👉 Watch till the end to repeat after June and improve your speaking fluency! 📚 Learn Vietnamese with June – The Saigonese 🎯 Subscribe for more fun and easy Vietnamese lessons! 📩 Contact: junehuynh2206@gmail.com 📘 Facebook: LearnVietnameseWithJune 🎵 Music Credit: Life of Riley by Kevin MacLeod Licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/...
