Create unique wood projects with the help of Craft Resin! In this video we break down the process of making an ocean-themed wood project using Craft Resin Deep Pour epoxy, easy and fun! 0:00 - Intro 0:13 - Preparing the wood 0:37 - Mixing & Pouring 1:55 - Final result 1️⃣ Sand the surface of your wood with 120-grit sandpaper. Create micro-scratches and scrub the surface to remove the gloss. This way you'll ensure a strong bond between resin and wood 2️⃣ Use a hoover to remove dust left from sanding. It's important to clean the surface of the wood from dust to avoid wood particles getting into the resin mix 3️⃣ Wipe the wood down with mineral spirits 4️⃣ Time to work with resin! Mix Parts A and B of Craft Resin Deep Pour. Mind the mixing ratio - it's 1 resin and 2 hardener for Deep Pour formula! Make sure to mix properly, scrapping the surface of your mixing cups. 5️⃣ Pour the mixed resin onto the prepared surface and let it self-level. In this video the first layer is already cured, so the artist pours over the ready resin layer. 7️⃣ Use a heat gun to remove surface bubbles. Don't hold it too close to resin - a distance of 15-20 cm is optimal. Avoid keeping it one spot for too long! 8️⃣ Wait 48 hours for the resin to cure.
