📢 Strengthening Global Partnerships in Thoracic Medicine 🌍🫁 The Lung Center of the Philippines (LCP) and National Taiwan University Hospital Hsin-Chu Branch (NTUHHC) have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), marking a significant step in education, training, and research collaboration for thoracic surgery and interventional pulmonology. This partnership enhances specialized training programs for LCP consultants, equipping them with expertise in hybrid operating room techniques and minimally invasive thoracic procedures. Dr. Shun-Mao Yang was honored as Honorary Consultant of LCP for his pivotal role in training eight LCP consultants at NTUHHC. Key attendees included Vice Superintendent Prof. Chih-Cheng Wu, Radiographer Wen-Yuan Chung, Cardiologist Dr. Kuan-Chih Huang, Quality Management Center Nurse Ming-Yuan Hsieh, and Center for International Health Manager Tai Jen Lee, who all contributed to knowledge-sharing and capacity-building. Superintendent Prof. Chong-Jen Yu delivered a video message and signed the MOU, reaffirming NTUHHC’s commitment to advancing thoracic healthcare. Special recognition goes to Dr. Joven Roque Gonong, Head of Interventional Pulmonology and Chair of ALLIANCE-CARE, for leading collaborative efforts in specialized respiratory care. Thanks also to Ms. Grena Rayos, LCP’s Department Secretary, and the dedicated teams from NTUHHC and LCP, whose efforts ensured the success of this partnership. We also extend our gratitude to Siemens Healthineers and Medilines for their unwavering support in advancing medical technology and innovation within LCP’s Thoracic Hybrid Operating Room. Their contributions are instrumental in enhancing diagnostics, treatment precision, and patient outcomes. This MOU represents a significant milestone in global medical collaboration, driving innovation, research, and enhanced patient care. It further cements LCP’s role as the National Apex Center for Lung and Chest Diseases, fostering international partnerships to improve healthcare for Filipinos. 💙 Thank you to all who made this possible! 🏥 #LCPxNTUHHC #ThoracicSurgery #MedicalPartnership #LungHealth #InnovationInMedicine #ALLIANCECARE #SiemensHealthineers #Medilines
