Date: November 14, 2025 Organisation and Chair: Prof. Violeta Dinescu, Dean EASA, Class III Prof Dr.Dušan Šuput, Dean EASA, Class II SVEBOR SECAK/EASA-CLASS III Alma Mater Europaea Dance Academy, Slovenia Staging of Ballet Snow Queen composed by Davor Bobić Topic: Staging of Ballet Snow Queen composed by Davor Bobić Today, dance is studied from many analytical perspectives that surpass the fundamental dance methodologies, technical skills and the linear dance history, but include anthropological, philosophical, semiotic, socio-political, feminist and gender perspectives, as well as kinesiology, anatomy and psychology in the context of safe practice and in a wider sense dance studies refer to the relation between education, research, organisation, creation, production and reflection. Therefore, on this occasion I am going to reflect on my latest choreography of ballet Snow Queen choreographed to the music of the Croatian composer Davor Bobić which had its world premiere on February 16, 2024, at the Croatian National Theatre in Osijek and its second premiere on November 12, 2024, at the Croatian National Theatre in Split. Both productions received great acclaim from the critics and audiences. Ballet Snow Queen was included among the best cultural events in 2024 by the Croatian Radio and Television. The goal of the presentation is to elucidate the creation of this neoclassical choreography which traverses into a recent, transmodern work of an eclectic blend of styles and techniques, that integrates video illustrations in accordance with the paradigm of digimodernism. JOSE MOLERO ZAYAS Topic: Impact evaluation of technological and innovation policies as a critical step to new politics The presentation will address the recent changes in science and innovation policy studies from an European perspective. Based on the monitoring and evaluation exercises of four different innovation policy exercises carried out in Spain over the last years, we reflect on the challenges of European innovation policy. The monitoring and evaluation exercises cover different administrative levels (national, regional and European) and methodological approaches (impact evaluation and more qualitative-oriented) including: an impact-evaluation exercise of the Research and Development (R&D) public funding programme for firms granted by the main innovation agency in Spain (The Centre for the Development for Industrial Technology CDTI); two survey-based research on R&D from the workers and from the managerial perspective; and a monitoring exercise on the Smart Specialisation Exercises (S3) of three regions (Extremadura, Valencian Community and Catalonia) and the national S3 programme. We find that it is important to address the strengths and limitations of programmes and policies framed in previous innovation policies (innovation for growth and national systems of innovations), while improving coordination between innovation policies with other policy areas, layers (strategic, managerial and performance) and levels (national and regional). In addition, we signal the importance of broadening the understanding innovation to move towards a more transformative- oriented policy paradigm. We indicate that a broad understanding of innovation is especially important for less developed countries and regions to catch- up.
