Jefferson Airplane/Jefferson Starship vets Paul Kantner (guitar and vocals), Marty Balin (vocals and guitar), and Jack Casady (bass) perform several songs at Daytona Beach FL 3-27-87, including tracks from their only album and an old Airplane cut. This was one of the last performances by KBC before Kantner left for Nicaragua to study the Sandinistas - he and Casady would continue to play together in Hot Tuna gigs for the next couple of years, but the trio didn't play again after this until 1989, when the three reunited with Grace Slick and Jorma Kaukonen for a Jefferson Airplane album and tour that included several recycled KBC tracks. The trio reunited again in the early 90s for a Jefferson Starship project (tho Balin was a late addition). Much footage comes from public television and public access broadcasts that the taper, who worked for a local cable TV production company in the 1980s, monitored nightly for several years.
