What it accidentally showed was a nightmare we're building right now. In less than 800,000 years, humanity splits into two species. One lives above ground, supposedly peaceful and harmless. The other is buried underground, running an entire system too dark to describe. Industrial. Intelligent. Predatory. The crazy part? There are no robots. No aliens. No nuclear apocalypse. Just us. And one man who thought he could fix it all... by leaving everything behind. Victorian England, 1899. A London mansion that screams old money and older ideas. The air smells of polished wood, pipe smoke, and the kind of confidence that comes from never being told no. George sits at the head of a long mahogany table, surrounded by his friends. Walter, Filby, a dozen other gentlemen in waistcoats and pocket watches. They're eating roast, drinking brandy, and doing what rich men do best: laughing at ideas they don't understand. George leans forward. "Gentlemen, time is just another dimension. Like space. You can travel through it." The table erupts in polite chuckling. Time travel? Preposterous. Amusing. Something to discuss between courses. Here's what they don't understand yet: George isn't just talking about visiting the future. He's talking about escaping the present.
