#bmwmotorrad #r1250r This was the third of four sessions in the morning; the fourth session was interrupted by a red flag. The three sessions in the afternoon were better as I got more comfortable with the track but I only have the front camera footage from those because I lost me rear camera in the final session, so this makes for a more interesting video! Sorry about the audio by the way! I won't bore you with the reasons but I forgot to stick my sound recorder into the bike during the morning sessions. The main takeaway from this event was just how much faster my BMW R1250R was, compared to the the same track about a year ago! Last time, I had an aftermarket exhaust on and what I didn't know was that it was sapping maybe 20bhp from the bike. The bike felt SO much better this time around, I was laying lines of rubber out of the corners apparently! I was also holding up faster bikes in the corners but they struggled to get past me on the shorter straights because of my bikes mighty acceleration 😁 sorry guys I'm a bit in-slow-out-fast in tight bends! Several guys came up to me during the day to say how surprised they were with the speed of the bike around the track. They tyres did very well - Metzeler M9RR. I dropped the pressures after the first session because it was hot and they were through the roof! After that the wear from both ends looked great all day to my untrained eye and to others. Great confidence on the brakes into bends and on the power (lean-sensitive ABS/TC helps!) The main reason I choose this circuit is because it's one of the few anti-clockwise trackday circuits in the country... for some reason I like going around left-handers much more than going around rights 🤷‍♀️ If you know of any other CCW circuits let me know!
