Kinetix is a complete scientific methodology that I teach to friends, partners and professionals alike inside The Kinetix Academy. My other primary focus will be the launch and growth of a new podcast and Substack community called The Human Freedom Project. // NEW CONTENT ON YOUTUBE // Sometime in 2023 I will return to YouTube with HFP podcast episodes and content created to help you know and understand yourself as a whole organism made of body, soul and spirit. This content will feature the Kinetix methodology, pain science, fascia secrets I’ve learned from 15+ years in private practice, neuroscience and evolving beyond the brain, trauma and the body, and more! I’m excited to go on this new adventure with you. ********** // VIDEO DESCRIPTION // ********* Links mentioned in this video: ► Tailbone fascia release technique: • Tailbone & SI Joint Fascia Release - ... ► Abdominal fascia release using your hands: • Abdominal Fascia Release - Try if You... ► Abdominal fascia release using a softball: • Gut Fascia Release - Targets Gut-Brai... ► QL (low back) fascia release technique: • Quadratus lumborum (QL) fascia releas... Video overview: Deep core abdominal muscles such as the transverse abdominis, pelvic floor and lower iliopsoas can become inhibited for a few reasons, and I’m covering the 3 primary ones in this video. When your lower/deep abdominal muscles become inhibited, you can experience a laundry list of issues, aches and pains. From incontinence, digestive issues and painful periods to: ✔️ Mid back pain ✔️ Shoulder pain ✔️ Neck pain ✔️ Tension headaches ✔️ Eye pain/strain/diminished eyesight ✔️ Facial pain ✔️ Jaw/TMJ pain ✔️ Shoulder pain ✔️ Grip issues/weakness ✔️ Numbness and tingling in the arms and hands ✔️ Shooting pain down the arms ✔️ Mid back pain ✔️ Upper trap pain (upper shoulder tension/pain) ✔️ Poor LYMPH drainage of your brain, face, jaw and neck, leading to chronic inflammation, fatigue, brain fog, tooth infections that don't heal fast and digestive issues, to name a few. The issues, aches and pains are NOT a direct result of the deep core abdominals being inhibited, but rather a result of accruing compensations as other muscles have to take over whenever those muscles are supposed to be contracting and can’t. The lower abdominals play a crucial role in pelvic stability. Meaning - your hips are in alignment and all of your deep core muscles are active, functioning as intended and engaged in protecting your vital organs and spine as needed. In order to resolve this issue for good, you’ll need to find the ROOT CAUSE of the muscle inhibitions (covered in this video), and ONLY THEN will you be able to activate and strengthen those abdominal muscles. The absolute WORST thing you could do if you think you have deep core abdominals not firing is to try to strengthen them. You’ll likely just use the compensating muscles (such as your neck muscles, quad hip flexors and lower back (QL) muscles.
