No. 14 Oklahoma Sooners at South Carolina Gamecocks - Highlights | 2025 Regular Season Week 8, 10/18/2025 No. 14 Oklahoma bounced back from last week’s loss with a dominant 26–7 win over South Carolina. Quarterback John Mateer threw for 150 yards and a touchdown while leading two long scoring drives of 75 and 92 yards. Running back Tory Blaylock added 101 rushing yards and an 18-yard touchdown, and Xavier Robinson scored from 10 yards out. Kicker Tate Sandell also matched his career long with a 55-yard field goal. The Sooners’ defense, which entered the game ranked first nationally in yards allowed, lived up to its reputation — recording six sacks, an interception, and a safety. Taylor Wein intercepted a fake punt attempt, setting up Mateer’s touchdown pass to Isaiah Sategna III. Oklahoma’s defense also made a critical fourth-and-goal stop and held the Gamecocks to just 124 passing yards. For South Carolina, quarterback LaNorris Sellers finished with 124 yards through the air, and the defense forced Oklahoma to settle for two field goals. However, the Gamecocks struggled to sustain drives and fell to 3–4 overall and 1–4 in SEC play. Up next: Oklahoma returns home to face No. 5 Ole Miss on Saturday.
