Black Diamond - Icon 700… ReChargeable Battery pack Hmmmm......

This video is intended to go over what issues I have had w the rechargeable Black Diamond Icon rechargeable battery / to help anyone else that has similar issue with this - however I do talk a bit about the Headlamp itself - which is an AWESOME piece!!! - but this rechargeable battery - not so much - at least so far. My past experience w BD warranty support has been really great - but I have email now 3x including today - and talked on the phone w tech support 2x in the last 4 days… and they said to file a warranty claim on their website - which after filling out - and pushing the submit button had an error - multiple times…. Soooo…. Ugh’ Eventually this pack will get sent in and I’m sure BD will warranty this - but it’s just been a little bit of futzing over the last couple days to try to get this headlamp to work w my fully charged new Rechargeable battery pack - but… Ya - not so much. Kind of a long-winded short video about the BD Icon headlight rechargeable battery - that just never worked from the beginning - and honestly just needs to be warrantied. Follow-up - I toht the 700 was good with just 4 AA battieries..... that it worked fine - that is also not true - now that I have used this more. The headlight even on 4 AA batteries progressively dims - and eventually in 20 min is just barely visible!?? SUPER - disappointing for a reasonably hi-priced Black Diamond hi-quality!??... headlight. I have asked BD multiple times in email - and called in and talked to a couple different techs - and NOBODY at BD knows much about this light. Looks like a really great product - and I have had really good luck with BD ICON Headlights in the past - but this 700 has issues. GLAD - I am not at 15,000 ft in the dark - on the side of a mountain trying to find a trail or worse trying to find/help someone in trouble. Anyone know how to use this light and Re-chargeable pak - PLEASE leave comments! Sorry for the long video - but thanks for watching! Dec 2022
