This case should make like a ghost and go away. The dbrand Ghost has a couple of design flaws and a pretty bad build quality issue that literally caused it to fail a test it should’ve passed. After dropping it over 30 times, I’ve got the data to show why I can’t recommend it. DBrand Ghost Review -this isn't quite your typical clear case -there's a PC back and TPU bumper but the bumper isn't clear -there is a lip on the bumper on the back which keeps the back off of any surface -the entire perimeter of the case has vertical hatching for texture -corners are slightly oversized -one of the only cases in my test group that has a full formed PC back which looks nice -the grip is a notch below when compared to the Tank, the case we reviewed before -the vertical hatching on the case edge does help quite a bit -good job offsetting the super slick PC back -going to add 46g to your iPhone which is pretty much average (47g) -going to increase the bulk of your device by 51% which isn't much -for corner drops, this case has a bit confusing -initial impact was around 8.63N, that's 15% better than average -the amount of rotation was 61% lower than average -this case basically bounced up and died -but the case does ring a lot during -so that combination resulted in the total force being pretty much average -which was surprising because super low rotation, low initial impact -even the total time for the case to settle was 15% faster -so the energy in the drop was really concentrated during the big bounce of the drop -for face drops, this case shouldn't have failed -but it did because of a build quality issue -on my Ghost, one corner is doesn't fully wrap around the iPhone -you can see the screen protector extending past the case edge -this doesn't happen on the other 3 corners -this feels pretty typical for a Ghost case doesn't it? -how about the camera lump? -remember the entire back of the case is one piece of PC -there's no breaks, no layers, just hard plastic -my initial impression was that this case was going to be terrible for the camera lump -BUT initial impact was 46% better -settling rate was average -and the total force was 17% better than average -so single piece PC back? Good for protection -back of the case is 1.9mm thick -corners are about 3 -flex is the back is significant, sitting around 19.4N to bend it 8mm -30% below average -takes 9.8N to pull magsafe accessories off, 11.1 to push -that's pretty much average, 6% if you need specifics -buttons on the case are integrated -DBrand's done a good job not making them squishy -larger than average so they're easier to bed -BUT the camera control button is terrible -it's covered but it's loose which means it gets lots of mis-clicks -the button also sits flush to the case edge so it's hard to find -screen access is top notch because the edges are so slow -screen access is super amazing in this one corner -look at that! -port cutout is barely large enough for my biggest cables -pinky's not going to complain either
