V L O G - 2 0 Part - 02 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hyderabad sightseeing - NAGARJUNA SAGAR-PART 02 Nagarjuna Sagar Dam is a masonry dam across the Krishna River at Nagarjuna Sagar which straddles the border between Nalgonda district in Telangana and Guntur district in Andhra Pradesh.The dam provides irrigation water to the Nalgonda, Suryapet, Krishna, Khammam, West Godavari, Guntur, and Prakasam districts along with electricity generation. Nagarjuna Sagar Dam was the earliest in a series of large infrastructure projects termed as "modern temples" initiated for achieving the Green Revolution in India. It is also one of the earliest multi-purpose irrigation and hydroelectric projects in India. Places not to missed here: The view of the colossal dam closeup and from the "Naya bridge" or new bridge along with early morning Andhra breakfast and also the scenic beauty traveling along side the Sagar Dam road I am currently living in Hyderabad.
