Old San Juan - Ten Best Things to Do in Just One Day

Ciao My Friend! Old San Juan, Puerto Rico is one of my favorite places to eat, drink, and see the sites. I will take you to the ten best things to do in Old San Juan in only one day. This travel guide is best for folks who are only in town for a short amount of time but want to maximize their experience. We will start off the day at Cafe Mallorca to try one of their specialty breakfast sandwiches that you can only get in Puerto Rico, then head over to Cafe Don Ruiz to drink some of the best coffee I have ever had, then some sightseeing at Castillo San Felipe. Once we work up an appetite, we will grab lunch at the Tico Tripeta Food Truck to try another Puerto Rician specialty. After lunch, we will stop by Ostracosa, which is my favorite place to hang out with friends because they have happy hour all day, for a Sangria or a Medalla. A short walk will take us to Calle de la Foraleza where they have the famed umbrella installation and then to the birthplace of the pina colada, La Casa Donde Nacio. While we are in the neighborhood, we will feed the pigeons in Parque Las Palomas, and then we will taste some rums and specialty cocktails at The Mezzanine. You can't visit Old San Juan without watching the sunset into the ocean. It is breathtaking. We will enjoy this from the terrace at La Verguenza with a couple mojito of course.
