Bromley, Kent. C/U shot of the face of a singer Tony Brent. He listens to his new record "Why Should I Be So Lonely". C/U of a golden disc. Tony picks it up. Several records are seen next to the disc. Top one reads "Time for Tony". Tony looks at the disk and puts it back. M/S of Tony Brent standing next to his record player, listening to himself singing - weird! M/S of a Sunbeam Rapier car driving down the road. High angle C/U shot of a 'lid' on Tony's record player closing slowly. Cut to a car driving slowly. Tony opens the gate for the car to get in his front yard. Voiceover tells the audience that Tony has an extensive knowledge of car engines. Cars are his great and he has many. He also has an extensive knowledge of cars. Before he became famous, Tony was a car mechanic. M/S of a man in lovely white sports car. He is 'one part' of a comic double act Mike and Bernie Winters. This one is Mike - tells the voiceover. M/S of Tony opening a bonnet to check the engine. Mike has been complaining about the engine idling and about some funny noises from the back. Tony leaves and Mike looks at the engine with a pipe in his mouth. Tony comes back with his tools. High angle shot of Tony's tools. Tony takes a screwdriver and goes back to the engine. Several shots of Tony and Mike looking at the engine. M/S of Mike opening the boot to find Bernie sleeping in it. Bernie wakes up (with a funny hat on), yawns, and gets out. Bernie travels in the boot because Mike wants to keep him away from the front seat and all the instruments Bernie would love to play with - tells the voiceover. Bernie takes a small tube and puts his fingers in it. The trouble is, they get stuck. M/S of Bernie asking Tony and Mike for help. Mike takes a little pump and (presumably) oils Bernie's fingers so they easily get out. Mike goes back to the engine while Bernie takes a pump to play with. He splashes his face, passer by, a tree...
