This is our sixth stop on our PNW (Pacific Northwest) trip, follow along as we make our way up to the Seattle area! Fly with us into incredible Boeing Field Airport also known as King County International Airport onto Runway 14R. This airport has limited transient parking and museum parking. You’ll want to visit the museum here – it is one of the best aviation museums we’ve yet to visit! TRANSIENT PARKING / MUSEUM PARKING There are a total of 4 transient parking spots at this airport – two spots are located on the northeast corner and two on the southwest corner adjacent to the museum parking and the Museum of Flight. There are 6 museum parking spots. Transient parking is $5 for every 12 hours. Museum parking is free. Tie-down chains are available at all spots. FBO There are 3 FBOs on field: Skyservice, Modern Aviation and Signature Flight Support. We have not visited any of the FBOs at this airport. Check ForeFlight comments for FBO reviews. FUEL You’ll only find full-service fuel at KBFI. Contact your FBO of choice for fuel. RESTROOMS Restrooms are located inside the museum and FBOs. CREW CAR / CAR RENTAL Crew cars are available at each of the FBOs. Please be advised that these are typically on first come basis. Rental cars can be arranged through any of the FBOs on field. You can also opt for Turo or rideshare. FOOD Aside from the museum café you won’t find any restaurants on-field. We encourage you to explore one of the many food options close by. Little Jaye made a great morning stop for pastries and coffee before our museum day. You will want to order one of everything (as you should!) but don’t miss out the Amann Toast – it is one of the best pastries we had on our trip. The coffee menu here is fun and delicious. The Museum of Flight is a top notch air museum. Flying in for this museum is super easy. There is dedicated FREE parking adjacent to the museum. If you’re in need of a meal or snack, there’s a café with indoor seating and good healthy options. Aside from the extensive well curated collection you’ll find the museum is filled with INCREDIBLE docents with impressive backgrounds. DO NOT MISS the docent led tours.
