Searching for the original church of San Juan, Batangas... more to see than Laiya's beaches

When people think of Laiya and San Juan, Batangas, they usually think of the lovely beaches and resorts, but not many realize that this place is very rich in culture and history. In this video, we'll discover three interesting places to visit (in addition to the beaches), as we ride through the heritage houses of San Juan and discover the interesting story of how the Filipino Bayanihan spirit saved a town and its historic church. As BY, George and I ride through history, we first take breakfast at Cafeno, which is a café that is situated in one of San Juan's heritage houses, before visiting the historic church of San Juan Nepomuceno. We then search for the original site of the heritage town in San Juan, which is now called Barangay Pinagbayanan, and look for the ruins of the first church structure of San Juan Nepomuceno.
