As a bi-cultual Latina photographer I am inspired to create visuals to empower and represent in a beautiful, thoughtful way. It’s one of the biggest reasons why I became a photographer. In this episode see the breakdown on the process and what inspired me in creating my latest body of work. This series was a sister collaboration piece created to respectfully pay homage to The Brown Berets and The Black Panthers to their work and unity. It’s important to see imagery that honors a part of real American history, to see imagery that allows us to be empowered by our ancestors, to continue to educate and inspire one another, especially the young.
