May 20th. 2008 was not only the release date of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, but also the date that High Adventure was reborn as a band after 22 years. This song served as the official relaunch campaign for High Adventure. We would like to thank The Indy-Cast as well, with Mitchell Halock and Ed Dolista, they were huge in helping us launch and promote the song, which actually went quite far for us, and accomplished its task of reintroducing High Adventure back into the world. The link to purchase the song on iTunes. https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/aco... Thank you as well to Dan Grievous! Lyrics to the song: Take a look at my face See it's wild and worn And this hat upon my head Has saved my neck before I'll take a crack at fame My own adventure story Climb aboard a plane and aim for Fortune and glory I'm a one man show, Who's used to flying solo Ask me "how?" Well, I don't know, I'm makin' this up as I go We've got our options weighed And we're shooting for a win We avoid the traps and snares But still the roof caves in So before the slamming door Locks us both inside Just put your trust in me I'll get you home alive It's up to me, I know, Or it's the end of the road Ask me "how?" Well, I don't know, I'm makin' this up as I go How did I get here? With my life in mortal danger Why couldn't I be home Not in the company of strangers I wish I was back at school Not traipsing through the jungle Sipping on some tea Instead of pilfering the Idol In a world of endless night Where so much is forbidden I resolve to shine a light To reveal what remains hidden From the temple to the hall From mosque to mausoleum No matter what you say It belongs in a museum It's up to me, I know, Or it's the end of the road (From Calcutta to the Congo, From Katmandu to Cairo) It's up to me, I know, Or it's the end of the road In the words of Dr. Jones: "I'm makin' this up as I go." “I’m makin’ this up as I go.” (3 TIMES)
