While working through the early verses of that piece, the words “with Jesus forever” stood out clearly. From that moment, it became a song within a song. This is not the first time such inspiration has come, and if the Lord tarries, it may happen again. We build upon our faith, and God gives us the strength to carry on. To me, that is what preaching and writing songs are all about. Once a song is turned over to Jesus, it rests in His will as to how it will be used and received. This song speaks of the truth of what awaits a believer when we leave this old earth. It reminds us of the glorious moment when our faith will become sight, and we will be with Jesus forever.
