Having been saved from the perils of the Old Forest and Old Man Willow by Tom Bombadil, the Hobbits continue on their journey to Bree and a reunion with Gandalf. However they first must cross the Barrow-Downs, a site of ancient malevolence whose tales have been heard even in the Shire. As they cross the grass covered mounds a sinister fog closes in around the four friends and ancient bones clad in cold rings stalk the Hobbits, ready to drag them down into an unearthly slumber. Can the Hobbits slip past the stalking Wights? Or will they be trapped by the sinister magics? Or perhaps they can call out for a saviour? Someone with yellow boots and a song on his lips...
