Welcome to Harry Potter Theory. Today we're discussing the history of the infamous village, Godric’s Hollow. Located in England’s West Country, Godric’s Hollow is a village that both Muggles and wizards call home. Although the exact founding date of the village is unknown, being that it is the birthplace of Godric Gryffindor—famous for being one of the founders of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry—we can assume that some version of the settlement has been around since at least the late 10th century, as Godric was born in the latter half of the 900s.
