Sweden Riots: Dozens Arrested by Planned Quran Burning

A far-right group in Sweden planned to burn copies of the Muslim holy book However, the Hard Line party’s plans were protested by demonstrators, causing riots. The Danish-Swedish party leader Rasmus Paludan organised a series of rallies that sparked violence across the country. Paludan said he has burned a copy of the Quran and wants to do so again. Additionally, 26 police officers and 14 members of the public were injured. Swedish Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson insisted that “people are allowed to express their opinions…that is part of our democracy.” She said: “No matter what you think, you must never resort to violence.
