Murshidabad continues to carry special historical values and the name Murshidabad was named after the nawab of Bengal Murshid Quli Khan. This Murshidabad was once the capital of Bengal, Bihar and Odisha. The historical Lalbagh speaks its own nawabi history of that time which could be found in the old heritage sites. To reach Lalbagh in Murshidabad is very easy. You can travel here by train or road from Kolkata. If you are coming by train then take the Lalgola bound train from Sealdah to Murshidabad Station or Lalbagh station or you can come with car and also by bus to Lalbagh. There you can hire a toto or a tanga will give you more excitement to explore the sights. It will be a great weekend trip and experience for a day or two.
