Food For Thought - Montgomery's Tourism Renaissance

Our 2024 Food for Thought lunchtime lecture series on Thursday, December 19, 2024. Wanda Battle, founder and CEO of Legendary Tours, presented Montgomery's Tourism Renaissance in the ADAH’s Joseph M. Farley Alabama Power Auditorium in Montgomery. Admission is FREE. The lecture will also be livestreamed on the ADAH’s Facebook page and YouTube channel, and a recording will be available after the program. Economic, social, and cultural factors contribute to the growth of tourism in any city, but the foundation for tourism is a place’s people and their stories. Battle’s presentation on her native Montgomery, Alabama, will explain why narratives and events are important to the city’s growing tourism industry, the revival of the regional economy, and the area’s increasing appeal to visitors from around the world.
