At almost 16 miles this walk starts at Fewston Reservoir car park, the route heads south around the northern side of Fewston Reservoir and then onto Swinsty Reservoir. On reaching the dam of Swinsty the route had to retrace its steps due to construction walk, returning to Fewston Resr via the village of Fewston. Continuing past Fewston Resr (southern edge) the route then follows the River Washburn upstream to Thruscross Reservoir and then circles it clockwise before returning back to the start
