Sawadee Khap! In this video we have a walk through Uppermill in Saddleworth before the heavens opened. Uppermill is a lovely little town historically in the West Riding of Yorkshire but now part of the Metropolitan Borough of Oldham, in Greater Manchester. It's about 11 miles or 17.7 km from Manchester City Centre. The River Tame meanders around the town and you can also access the Huddersfield Narrow Canal. I believe there are narrow boat trips available but not when we went. At one point the river passes under the canal and the railway passes over on a viaduct creating a wonderful photo opportunity. Saddleworth is worth a visit. Also take the time to visit Dobcross, Delph and Greenfield if you are in the area.
