Orange Pineapple Sherbet - How to Make Sherbet With and Without a Churn - Steph’s Stove

Orange Pineapple Sherbet 1 - 1.25 liter bottle of chilled orange soda (Fanta, Crush, or any store brand) 1 - 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk 1 - 8 oz can crushed pineapple (drained) 1 - teaspoon coconut extract (OPTIONAL) – I did not add this in the video but it is a delicious addition to the sherbet! Using a large batter bowl or large mixing bowl, add condensed milk, soda, and crushed pineapple. Mix together slowly using a wire whisk to incorporate all ingredients. If adding the coconut extract, add this after the mixture is incorporated and mix again to blend the extract. If not using a churn or ice cream maker: Transfer the mixture to a 9 ½ by 5 metal loaf pan, cover the top of the mixture with plastic wrap, and place in the freezer for 6 hours or overnight. Allow the mixture to sit at room temperature for approximately 10 minutes on the counter after removing from the freezer. Scoop using an ice cream scoop and enjoy! If using an ice cream maker: Transfer the mixture to an ice cream maker and churn according to the ice cream churn directions or until the ice cream begins to slow. Remove the sherbet from the churn, place in a freezer safe container, cover the top of the mixture with plastic wrap, and allow it to firm up in the freezer for several hours or overnight. Allow the mixture to sit at room temperature for approximately 10 minutes when removing from the freezer, scoop, and enjoy!
