Whipping Cream Pound Cake with Chocolate Ganache 2 sticks butter 3 cups sugar 6 eggs 1/2 pint (1 cup) whipping cream (DO NOT WHIP!) 3 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon vanilla Cream together the butter and sugar. Add the eggs one at a time. Alternate adding the flour and the whipping cream. Beat until smooth, about 4 - 5 minutes. Grease and flour a pan well to bake the cake in. You may use a sheet cake pan, a tube pan or a Bundt cake pan. Place the cake in a cold oven. Turn on the oven and bake at 300° for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until golden brown and done in the center. TO MAKE THE CHOCOLATE GANACHE: 8 ounces of good quality chocolate 1 cup heavy whipping cream pinch of salt 1/2 teaspoon vanilla Heat the whipping cream in your microwave so that it is hot enough to melt the chocolate. Be careful not to boil the whipping cream. While the whipping cream is heating, break up the chocolate in a medium bowl. Pour the hot whipping cream over the chocolate and cover for 2 to 3 minutes.
