Spiritual sucessor | 2008 Panasonic F-1208V 12" table fan | Initial review

The first Malaysian fan in the collection! This was yet another one of those completely random finds off of Ebay and I bought it out of curiosity to see wether it was as good as the two Japanese fans that I have in the collection (which Im pleased to say, it is!) I have no idea if this fan was really intended to be a successor to the original F-1208 table fan but it does share quite a few characteristics with it so maybe? Thats up for you guys to decide. Overall condition of this fan is "ok" to say the least. The plastic has taken quite a few scratches and clearly doesn't seem to be very scratch resistant unfortunetly. However, It does seem to be of the thicker sort and doesn't feel like that cheap rubbish they use on most modern day fans that you can pick up at a store (at least here in the uk). The grilles and bladeset are still in very good condition which does suprise me as a lot of Asian fans tend to struggle with the more humid environment that is the uk's climate. Also, I'm glad that the blades are still not too scratched up unlike the blades on the Sanyo magic turn lol. Performance is very typical for an east asian fan. It produces a very decent amount of air at lower RPMs just like a few other fans in my collection. This was a common thing with fans of the 80s and a majority of well made table fans from the likes of Tatung, Galaxy and many more were using this idea to get the air output with low noise. Its nice to see that this idea is still being used today with these modern asian fans and even fans like Woozoos etc. Had I found out about these fans earlier on and if they were much easier to get, I don't think there would have been a single modern chinese fan in the household that I am a part of lol. These are such excellent performers that may not be the most stylish, but do exactly what they are supposed to do. Feel free to let me know what you guys think of this fan.
