Legend of Neringa: Creation Myth of the Curonian Spit (GenAI Short Movie)

Legend of Neringa is an ancient tale of extinct Balts people, of either Curonian or Prussian origins. Today it is retold by the extant Balts people - Lithuanians. For long I dreamed but lacked means to visualise stories like this, but with #GenAI it is not longer the case. This version is made with #PixVerse by @PixVerse_Official for #CharacterToVideoChallenge. This is the first ever version of this story made with AI. I'm very impressed with the character consistency provided by the new Character to Video feature by #PixVerse. Most portraits and half body shots are of decent quality, which is a very high percentage for video GenAI models. There are drawbacks (which is normal for this early stage of the product) like full body or multiple people shots are usually too distorted to be useful, the beautiful portrait shot are usually slow motion as well, which is ok for some use cases but for short movies I find it a bit boring and as result I had to speed them up for x2 to x4 times, requiring more shots to be generated, and even more time and resources consumed, for a relatively short video. Some parts of the video doesn't meet the quality I hoped, but it is very hard to reach that even with paid plans. Especially, when I want not only a good quality of video but maintain historical and geographical accuracy as well. Given my two cents, making relatively good videos requires money, but of course it is miles cheaper than making an actual film. It was a very exciting project to work on, huge kudos to the team of PixVerse for making some of my ideas finally to see the light, and this cool product.
