16 year old Bret lives with his indifferent father and a stepmother who abhors him. After yet another fight he leaves home. He meets up with some other kids of the street, sleeping anywhere and begging for money to eat. Amongst those is Roxanne (played by Laurel) who he seems to have a bond with until she gets taken away and sent to a home, leaving Bret struggling to pay his way. One night he crosses paths with some guy's, later finding out that they are male prostitutes; and when he is offered work as a male prostitute he has little choice but to accept. Beau offers Brett a place to stay until he can figure out what he needs to do. Brett fights with not wanting to go back home and needing to make money to survive, he makes some bad choices but in the end does the right thing for himself.
