#beinnbhuidhe #scotland #munrobagging I chose Beinn Bhuidhe as my next target as it was one which my father completed (on his second round of Munros) close to the time he passed away. As it was a solitary Munro I decided to opt for the Glen Shira approach rather than the shorter Glen Fyne approach, just to make a bit of a day of it. After lugging my heavy ruck sack (I'm working on lightening my kit) in 20°c heat for the 10 miles route, I decided to stop at the 9 mile mark on Stac a'Chuirn. This actually worked out well as I had a superb view of Beinn Bhuidhe and the surrounding hills during sunset. The following morning I took minimal kit from Stac a'Chuirn and set off for, what would be, the best Scottish sunrise I have ever experienced. The realisation that I never have, and never will, climb a Munro with my dad hit me hard but I think he had a hand in the awesome sunrise.
