To update the firmware on Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark IV on Windows 7 the Olympus Workspace software should be installed or updated. Alternatively the firmware update tool from LightSnow Dev can be used. The new version of Olympus Workspace is re-branded as OM Workspace application software. Then the Firmware Update process for version 1.1 can start which fixes and improves precision of focus for prime lenses (single-focal-length). This is the first firmware update for the EM10 Mark 4 OMD Olympus mirroless micro four thirds camera. 1. Turn on the camera 2. On the camera set "USB Mode" to "Storage" MENU ➡ ⚙ ➡ C2 ➡ USB Mode ➡ Storage MENU ➡ ⚙ ➡ C2 ➡ USB Mode ➡ Auto (leave the camera On) 3. Connect the camera to the computer via the USB port (the screen of the camera will switch off even though the camera remains On) 4. On the computer, open Olympus Workspace (OM Workspace) 5. On the computer on Olympus Workspace, go to the menu "Camera" and select "Update" 6. Click "Next" on the updater dialog screen (for a brief period a dialog box will appear as the software retrieves the firmware versions on the camera and the Olympus servers) 7. On the dialog with the list of camera and lens, select "Body" and press "Update" 8. Select "Yes" on the pop-up dialog to continue with the firmware update process, confirming that the camera firmware cannot be reverted to an older version once the update has been completed 9. When presented with the software license agreement dialog screen, press "Agree" (A dialogue will appear for a few minutes, wait until it completes) 10. Another dialogue will appear as the firmware update is taking place, and the camera LCD screen shows icons indicating that the firmware update is underway. Wait until it completes. 11. Once the "OK" text is shown on the screen of the camera, on the computer click "Next" which will present another dialogue instructing you to disconnect the USB cable from the camera and switch off the camera. 12. Disconnect the camera from the USB port. 13. Switch off the camera. 14. On the computer, click "Close" on the dialogue. The End. You can check the firmware of your Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark IV camera by going to the menu, select the wrench icon, and choose "Firmware".
