Castti's story had me curious right from the start, and as I played more I only loved her more ❤️ I wanted to try and reflect her story and her character through the music; so without really spoiling anything, I made it slower and sadder. It was kind of an accident, but it felt right so I ran with it. (Not that me making something slower and sadder is anything new, lol.) The second time through the melody I also wanted to reference the music that plays during some of Castti's flashback scenes, so hopefully that comes across. The soundtrack of Octopath Traveler II is just as beautiful as the first game, so you'll definitely be hearing more of it from me!
