He's coming into the shop to tidy up his haircut and to get a low maintenance hair cut that allows him to style it without product. With the beard he's aiming to have a little bit trimmed up on the beard while leaving the volume. Davide is the barber and he starts of with a #2 guard for the clippers at the top of the head and is tapering it down to a #0 guard to the sideburns. With approval of the length, Davide will then create the line for the fade around the head. Once the line is set, he'll progressively work from the sideburns and blend it up. First with a #0.5 guard and followed by a #1 guard. What's cool and different about this haircut is the detailing work where the sides meet the hairline near the temples. Normally that point is made at the temple, but with the sharp edges it's above the temple and gives a very distinctive look. After finishing the hair, Davide starts on blending the haircut into the beard. Martin wants a sharper beard style that is more to a soft point rather than a squared look. The ultimate result for the beard is a very sharp & clean look that ties in nicely with the disconnected fade haircut. The final touch for the beard is when Davide works in Old Money Utility Balm. Utility Balm is a light to medium hold product with a primary purpose of conditioning the beard, skin, or hair. It's a versatile product that can be used in many different ways.
