I have seen and sold several of these with very low miles. This is absolutely the cleanest one I've ever seen! We acquired this as part of a 25 car collection from an estate. There is an oil change sticker from Classic DeLorean Motor Car company in Texas. This car was at their shop, I'm assuming that's why the car is in such excellent condition. They probably went through the car. This is the sportier manual 5-speed version. The Delorean is more than just a car! It's a conversation piece with Hollywood stardom and an intriguing history. They are wildly unique; no other car is even similar. Only built 3 years but they represent an era. Made famous by the Back to the Future movies where a Delorean was used as a time machine. They even have a scandal attached to their name. GM executive John Delorean was caught in a big cocaine deal while desperately trying to raise money to keep his company from going under. More than just a car, it's a cultural icon! EXTERIOR: It is immediately recognizable by its brushed stainless steel body panels and the gullwing doors. The stainless is in excellent shape I didn't see any scratches or damage. The brushed finish is uniform. The rubber bumpers are also in excellent shape: no cracks, damage or fading. They're painted smooth and glossy. The lightly smoked glass is crystal clear. The gullwing doors open easily and stay open, most of them fall back down. The rear louvers also stay up. It has its original staggered size alloy wheels: 14s in front, 15s and back. The tires have been replaced. INTERIOR: The interiors were available in either gray or black. Obviously, this one's gray and it is practically brand new condition. There's no cracking in the plastic, no splits or wear. Even the carpets are clean. Genuine leather on the seats and door panels is mint. All the knobs, vents, switches and even the original radio still look like new. It has the owner's manual in the glove box. The headliners are even mint, they are typically drooping down. ENGINE COMPARTMENT: DeLorean used 2.85 L V-6 Volvo motors with a Bosch fuel injection system. This engine compartment and the components look as clean as I've ever seen! Everything looks proper, not modified or messed up. It has air conditioning. TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It is also mint; it looks like it's never been used. The original spare under the carpet has never been out. The light works. UNDERSIDE: It is exceptionally clean underneath; it even has the assembly line markings still showing. The belly pan looks like new, there's no damage or scrapes. These have a four wheel independent suspension, rack & pinion steering and disc brakes at all four wheels. SERVICE: We inspected the car and repaired the fuel gauge. It's a car! It's a Hollywood star! It's totally 80s! The Delorean has become one of the most iconic cars in history. This is one of the best examples that exist!
