Powered by a six-cylinder Continental Model 22-R engine with 145 horsepower, the truck reached speeds up to 72 kilometers per hour and had a 227-liter fuel tank, allowing long-distance operations. Its 21.5-ton winch, 180-degree rotating crane, and onboard welding equipment made the Kenworth Five Hundred Seventy versatile and capable of recovering disabled tanks up to 2 tons.
