We will begin our discussion with some basic definitions like current, current density, resistance, resistivity, mobility, drift velocity etc. Then we will discuss the resistance of some standard shaped resistors and also discuss the change of resistivity with temperature. After that we will focus on solving electric circuits and learn how to use Kirchhoff’s laws for current and voltage. We will then move on to the wheatstone bridge and then discuss the electric devices one by one – meter bridge, potentiometer, ammeter and voltmeter. After that we will discuss some standard problems that are asked in competitive exams from this chapter and conclude our discussion.
