Ice fishing (Pimpling) are also popular in other part of the world like up north in Canada, Finland, Norway. USA. In Sweden we call it Pimpling and in Sweden maby we do it little bit differently. This is mostly a family thing in Sweden. You go out on the ice on a sunny winter day in februari, mars and sometimes april with your family. Many people do Ice fishing also for a party thing with your friends and alcoholic beverages is not uncommon. So good food and drink are the main thing. Not the Ice Fishing per say. Making a fire and BBQ is also nice when you sit there on the cold ice and wait for the fish. My favorite time of the day is around 4-5 in the morning and wait for the sun to come up. This is I think the most common time for other people to. It depends what fish you are going to catch I think.
