Showtape Title: You're A Star Release Date: September 14, 1993 The final new showtape released in 1993. It played from September 14 to November 24 of that year. This show is the first in a new format. With there now being four segments rather than three, with the last segment featuring a short "encore" song. In addition, for the first time since 1992, licensed intermissions are used along side the in-house stuff. Beginning with this show, the CEC TV specials would no longer be used, with the in-house intermissions being shorts featuring Charlie Rockit (who beginning with this show has his speaking voice done by Jeremy Blaido, although his singing is still done by Charles Stewart), as well as a series of animated shorts featuring the character Larry the Technician. Larry had been a character since 1987, although hadn't appeared since 1990. This show introduces a brand new animated version of Larry, who would continue to appear until the early 2010s. This show also introduces a new voice for Larry, that being voice actor Duncan Brannan, who would take over for Scott Wilson as the voice of Chuck E. Cheese with the following show, and would continue to voice the character for almost 20 years. This show is the last to feature Scott Wilson as the voice of Chuck E. and Munch, ending his 15 year career with CEC (15 as the voice of Munch and 10 as the voice of Chuck). In addition, it is also Charles Stewart's final show as the singing voice of both Jasper and Charlie Rockit, and as mentioned before, Jeremy Blaido's first as Charlie's speaking voice. This show introduces a new version of Birthday Star, which was shorter than the main version, and would be used on shorter intermissions. This 'Walk In' version of the song was only used on three shows (You're a Star, Holiday 1993 and Let the Good Times Roll) before being retired alongside the 'Hidden Birthday' concept as a whole.
