Al Olayyan Heritage Village is one of the oldest and most beautiful heritage villages located in Al Namas governorate of Asir Region. Named after Olayyan family, the village has a beautiful and well maintained Mosque which dates back to 1400 years and a fortress which has been converted into a beautiful Museum that displays several historical artefacts which were being used by the villagers in the ancient times. The actual village consisted of 96 houses in which whole Olayyan Family resided in their times. Their names are displayed at the main entrances of each house which still stand in the heritage village and a full family tree of Al Olayyan is displayed in the museum.
