Painting The Honda Civic White - How I Painted My Car Step #9

After blocking and sanding the car down with some 400 grit sand paper i moved onto painting the car with a quart of white paint. code number 040 toyota mr2 superwhite. I wanted to go for the whitest white i could get, didnt want any yellow to it, or blue white either. The basecoat went on fine, pretty much worked through the entire night and threw on 3 coats of color, door jams and all and overall it came out nice. Moving onto the clear i ran into a couple issue with fisheyes, i honestly dont know what i did wrong when it came to the clear coat. Not sure if the hose line has to much water in it, my water filter on the gun probably needs to be replaced. The compressor wasnt dripping when i drained it half way which made me believe it was something else. Either way 90 percent of the car is looking spot on and the 10% will require re finishing, I'm going to block the entire car down, and then re apply clear on the entire thing, i have enough left to do it but with over 50 hours of body work into the car i have gone to far to cut it short and just get this job over with. I want people to believe that a pro body shop painted my car, and thats what i am going to do. So with the upcoming week after the car color and clear cures i am going to begin working on that, ill re coat it, probably not on camera as i just wanna focus on this important step and not have to carry the camera around with me. i gotta be in the zone for this fix. Overall though when this car is going to be done with clear its going to look unreal. The color looks awesome and with black and bronze wheel accents its going to be lit. Seriously though it will.
